Salt Lake Stadium, also known as the Yuva Bharati Krirangan is a football stadium in Kolkata. It opened in 1984 and has a capacity of 120,000, which is one of the biggest stadiums in the world. It is often used by the national football team in India. Mohun Bagan AC, one of the major sports clubs in West Bengal and several other football clubs also use the stadium. Mohun Bagan AC, also known as the National Club of India, playing their matches against their arch rivals Kingfisher East Bengal FC are often played in front of capacity crowds. Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn played his last professional match at the stadium against Mohun Bagan AC in front of 120,000 spectators in 2008.
