Niigata Stadium, also known as the Tohoku Denryoku Big Swan Stadium, a stadium is used mostly for football matches and athletics in Niigata. Has a maximum capacity of 42,000 and opened in 2001. Hosted several matches of 2002 FIFA World Cup and also hosted rugby matches. Albirex Niigata are tenants of the stadium. They are one of the most popular football clubs in Japan.
